hi, this is my profile! I have been a member here since early 2012, possibly earlier and you will note I am no spring chicken. I am Jodie Ann Jones but don’t live as myself full time. Reason; because it would be currently too complicated and practically impossible. That’s for now though. I am not in any closet and everyone who matters to me, know who I am. I am what I term a tgirl. I made a decision not to go on hrt or undergo surgery because it would change me and I would lose my sexuality which remains important. I have decided that being a non op tgirl for me works best. So, what does that make me? Effectively a girl in many ways; feminine definitely, a sissy boy not. I can’t claim to be a ggirl because I am not and can only appreciate how they are by observation. I think the best way to explain how I am is to look at traditional women who appreciated their femininity and could stand up for it and themselves. So, my dream partner; a straight, kind, caring and strong man. A man who loves a woman despite very obvious physical differences. A man who knows how to treat and appreciate a true woman as she knows how to love and appreciate him. So, to you. Why are you here, you will all have your reasons, but this a message to the tgirls here. You know who you are and how you feel but, if you are anything like me, you may well still be fighting it. Don’t, it’s futile and you can’t change yourself. The only way is to accept yourself as you are and work with it as best you can. If possible just be yourself in every day life. Oh, one final thing dressing has nothing to do with being a tgirl or anything else, you are as you are however you are dressed. I dress everyday in a bra and panties with stockings and a suspender belt when it’s cooler but and a big but, then I cross dress in a man’s shirt or top and trousers just to keep my life together. About me Hello there! I’m a 58-year-old non-binary trans person living in London, putting a little spark out into the universe in the hope of finding some kindred spirits, trans friends and allies. Last year I made the big decision to leave a long-term day job and take my life in a different direction. These days I’m concentrating on being an artist, working mainly in pen and ink. My work involves lots of intricate cross-hatching and tends towards the esoteric. For me, making art is both a creative practice and a way of understanding the world - my own little sanctuary. I like to present in a way that feels authentically me - age-appropriate, comfortable, and a little bit queer. Someone once described my look as “Geek Chic”, and I’m absolutely happy to claim that! My world and small rituals I’m autistic, deeply introspective, and quite sensitive to the world around me. My inner world is busy and my energy can be limited, so I find a lot of comfort in small, stabilising rituals. The weather, local sounds, a perfectly brewed cup of tea or coffee, and the quiet sanctuary of home aren’t small things to me - they’re my anchors. I can be quite solitary and will happily spend days in my own creative bubble, so I sometimes find it difficult to connect with people initially. But once I warm up, I’m very open and articulate and love a good, deep conversation. I value genuine emotional truth, curiosity, kindness and a deliberate softness. I’m not especially interested in performance or toxic positivity - I’d much rather have an honest conversation about the things that make life interesting, difficult, funny or beautiful. When I’m not feeding my creative hunger, you can usually find me: • Exploring London’s museums, galleries and free cultural spaces. • Wandering through antique markets or flipping through auction catalogues looking at curiosities. • Sitting in a café people-watching, with classical or jazz music in my headphones. • Getting lost in books, comics and graphic novels — especially science fiction, fantasy and magical realism. • Taking quiet walks through London’s green spaces and noticing the hidden history and little stories of the city. I enjoy conversations that wander a little - art, books, history, music, strange objects, places we've lived, things we've noticed that day, and the occasional wonderfully obscure rabbit hole. What I’m looking for I’m at a point in my life where I’d really like to make some genuine new friendships. I’m particularly interested in meeting fellow trans and queer people, as well as kind and open-minded allies. I’m not particularly concerned with how someone identifies, presents or looks. What matters much more to me is curiosity, kindness, honesty and a willingness to meet another person as they are. I’d love to find people to get to know slowly - someone to share a smile and a deep conversation with, swap stories and observations, talk about books or art, or simply chat about the ordinary things that make up a life. I'm quite happy with friendships that begin online and perhaps eventually become letters, postcards, or even the occasional cup of tea if we're local, whatever the universe may bring I'm open to.
